About GymDayPasses

What this site is

GymDayPasses answers one narrow question well: can you walk into a gym today without a membership — and what it will cost you. For each major US gym chain we publish the day-pass price (or the honest range, where locations set their own), who is allowed to bring a guest and how often, what the free trial actually covers, and what you need at the front desk: photo ID, a waiver, an age minimum.

There is no sign-up, nothing to install, and no account. The checker runs in your browser; we do not receive your name, your location, or which gym you were checking.

Where the data comes from

Every figure is read from the chain's own published pages — its membership FAQ, its day-pass or guest-pass page, or its own club location pages — and every chain page on this site shows the source and the date we last checked it. Nothing is taken from a blog, a coupon site or a review aggregator, because those are exactly where stale and invented prices propagate from.

The franchise problem, and how we handle it

This is the rule that shapes the site more than any other. Many chains — Anytime Fitness, Crunch, Gold's Gym, World Gym, Powerhouse — are franchises, and each location sets its own day-pass price. A single number for those chains would be false the moment you drove one town over.

So we publish a range, mark the chain "varies by location", and tell you to call ahead — and we only publish a range at all when we have actually seen different figures on the chain's own location pages. Corporate-owned chains with a firm published policy get the firm number. Where a chain publishes no figure anywhere, we say "not published" and describe the policy instead, because a searcher who plans a visit around an invented price and gets a different number at the desk has been actively misled.

What we do when there is no authoritative figure

We say so, and it costs us content. Some chains have no official day pass at all — the honest answer there is "you can't buy one; here's the guest policy and the trial instead", not a price copied from a five-year-old forum post. Where a figure is less certain than the rest, we mark the confidence on the page itself rather than in a file only we would read.

What this site is not

It is a planning tool, not a promise of entry. Gyms change their prices and policies without notice, franchise locations differ from their own chain's website, and the person at the front desk has the final word. Every result carries a line telling you to confirm with the club before you drive over, and that line is not a formality.

We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting for any gym chain named on this site. Chain names and marks belong to their owners; we use them only to identify whose published policy we are describing.

How the site makes money

The site may show advertising, and some outbound links may be affiliate links. Both are kept below the answer: no ad unit and no affiliate link renders above the result the checker produces, and a check in our build fails the deploy if one ever does. Affiliate links carry rel="sponsored nofollow" and sit under a disclosure. Nothing we earn from changes a verdict — the result is computed from the published data, and there is no path in the code by which a commercial relationship could alter it.

Corrections

If a price or policy here is wrong or out of date, we want to know — a wrong number on this site sends somebody to a front desk expecting the wrong bill. Write to hello@gymdaypasses.com with the page and the chain's own source, and we will check it and correct it.
